The Vitebsk Art School is an important centre in the evolution of Russian art and the emergence of the Soviet Avant-Garde. Yet, there has been no restropective focusing solely on its artists and cultural significance. That is until now, on the centenary of the start oft the movement. 

This Spring season at the Centre Pompidou brings a show titled Chagall, Lissitzky and Malevitch: the Russian Avant-Garde. Here visitors can marvel at the work of these three leading artists from the school - Kazimir Malevitch, along with El Lissitzky and Marc Chagall . 

The show offers a chance to see their work like never before, with more than 200 pieces from these three artists. This offers the perfect chance to see each artists’ techniques and ideas over the post war period of 1918 and 1922. Is it therefore a chance to study the Russian Avant-Garde period like never before. The exhibition continues until July 16th and should not be missed.
