François I and Dutch Art
The Louvre Museum Paris is hosting an interesting exhibition that puts on view a large body of Dutch artworks that belong to the collection of King François I of France.
From 18/10/2017 to 15/01/2018
The exhibition which holds the title of “François I and Dutch Art” focuses on Dutch Art in France in the period of the reign of King François I between 1515 and 1547, and assembles notable works by artists who were very close to the king such as Jean Clouet, Corneille de La Haye , and Joos van Cleve. It gathers more than 160 pieces, among them, there are paintings, sculptures, drawings, tapestries, jewel pieces, and many other valuable objects.
The exhibition is held at the Hall Napoléon, under the pyramid of the
Louvre. Try not to miss it if you are in Paris anytime between now and January 15th.
