In Tune with the World at Fondation Louis Vuitton Paris
Throughout the summer season this year, the Frank Gehry building Fondation Louis Vuitton Paris plays host to a new and interesting exhibition : In Tune with the World.
From 11/04/2018 to 27/08/2018
The exhibition combines works and ideas from key figures of international fame, all with a key theme. It stretches across two distinct sequences and invite us to consider the ties between man and his universe – whether man-made or natural.
Sequence A allows visitors to explore the vibrant, if somewhat disturbing images of Takashi Murakami. On the surface, Murakami’s work exhibits the characters and colours of Kawaii at its finest. Scratch the surface, especially with “The Octopus Eats Its Own Arm”, and deeper, darker concepts emerge. Sequence B combines key pieces from 28 different artists – both French and international – over three floors of Fondation Louis Vuitton, Paris. “Man in the Living Universe” showcases varied talents including Gerhard Richter and Henri Matisse.
The show runs from 11th April - 27th August and visitors are encouraged to make the most of such a rare opportunity to see these artists under one roof.
