The Louvre seems to have a desire to step way back in time right now to explore the Renaissance period in a little more detail. Perhaps the changing of the decade to the 2020s is creating a sense of nostalgia for some classical art. One of the shows that are sure to impress viewers here at the gallery is one titled “The Advent of the Artist”. This exhibition looks at the work of some of the leading names of the era – including Donatello, Michelangelo, da Vinci and Albrecht Altdorfer.

This show on the Advent Artist is then followed by another show dedicated to Donatello and Michelangelo about sculptural work, called Body and Soul. It is a great idea to see this exhibition first to learn more about their work and place in the era before moving onto the sculpture exhibition. Here you will see around forty pieces with a focus on the classical side of the art. Enjoy the show until June 29th.
